The access road to the passenger terminal is completed.
A LIAT ATR 72-600 plane, with 53 passengers including Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves on board, lands at the AIA. The flight was greeted by a sea of cheering red-clad supporters of the ruling Unity Labor Party and was one of seven planes that landed that afternoon.
Four small aircraft touch down at the AIA. This historic moment, which took place shortly before the 2015 general elections was witnessed by thousands of Vincentians.

The terminal building was officially completed in December, 2013. The estimated cost of both the terminal building and the control tower was EC$38 million.
